What is happening to CruiseComp?
CruiseComp isn't going anywhere! We have re-designed CruiseComp so that we can collect cruise data on handhelds in the field using Cruiser and sync to the computer using CruiserDesktop. CruiserDesktop is becoming the new CruiseComp interface. The original CruiseComp interface will continue to be operational this year. The same CruiseComp engine is still running under the hood.
What devices will Cruiser run on?
Cruiser runs on Windows 7 and 10 tablets. In the future, we are planning on developing on Android as well.
Where can I buy hardware for Cruiser?
Cruiser can use any Windows tablet that supports Windows 7 or 10. However, if you'd like to use a field grade tablet, please give us a call. We work with Geneq, who is a Canadian company that builds field grade Windows tablets. We will order from Geneq, install our software and help setup the configuration with the hardware if you'd like. Geneq also sells a high quality GPS sub meter satellite receiver called SX Blue II GNSS. We can pair this receiver to your tablet and then ship everything to you ready to go. Our software also works with Trimble and Juniper windows tablets and other GPS satellite receivers.
Where can I find the latest version of Cruiser?
